Just a note of caution on the Spitfire heater. In cold weather, it is best
to pull the heater valve open AS the engine warms up.  If the engine is hot,
and then you open the valve, the hot 'coolant' rushing through the cold
hoses may cause a quick thermal expansion of same, splitting them open,
spewing hot coolant all over the interior.  Not that I would ever be so
stupid as to have done this...;-)
