SPAX have two models of front shocks for the Spitfire. One is adjustable, by a
small screw near the bottom, and you adjust it in place. The other model has an
adjustable spring seat so that you can change the pre-load of the spring.
Neither model comes with a spring but Rimmers do sell a complete set with shocks
and springs.

I recently installed SPAX on front and rear on my Spit (the plain version
without the adjustable spring seat) and the difference in ride is amazing. The
car now take bumps and holes in the road without jarring and bounce.

The only reason to go for the adjustable spring seat version is for autocross or
racing. Since I had no plans for either, I am quite happy.
