Ok, what's the collective brain power say about the following?

Just looked at a 76 Spit, red, with an honest 17,000 miles on it.
Original owners. It's in excellent condition, I couldn't find any rust.
Runs like a top. Interior excellent, except for minor wear on the
drivers side carpet, probably where the left foot rested, and that small
spot (about 1/2 inch) is showing the underside of the carpet a little.
Several (perhaps 6) minor scratches, mostly where they screwed up putting
the hardtop back on. No dents, no dings, paint remarkable. Rag top,
tonneau, boot cover all look like they were the day they came with the
car. Minor leaks from tranny and engine, but not that much considering
it's been parked in the same garage since they bought it, except for when
they drove it of course.

Muffler was replaced years ago, don't know why. Also, the fuel pump.
The battery box has zero corrosion. Still has original 'cardboard'
engine valances, in virtually perfect condition.

So, what's the collective brain say about it's value? At what point is
it too much to pay for?

Brad
