This trick REALLY works. It's exactly what I did
this past winter. Let me remind the list that this
was the first time that I'd ever pulled  a head off
an engine. Now I feel like a PRO!!!!

Larry,
The tab on one end of the gasket should mate up
with the flat spot on the rear of the engine.  If
it does, you have it installed right
side up.

Be sure to retorque the head while warm immediately
after running the engine up to operating
temperature the first time.
