About 1 1/2 ohms for a ballasted coil (same as the ballast resistance)
and about 3 ohms for a non-ballasted one

Sorry bout the last post - brain fade - It should have read -
I dont happen to have my reference material handy but Im sure that one of
you on the list has the info handy  What is the relative resistance of a
ballasted coil vs. a non ballasted one  I need to use a ballast coil and
want to make sure the one I have is the correct one
