I'll run this information by you again. Yes, Wilf and I will be attending
Mosport, and we are trying to set up a 'NASS' corner somewhere, easily
visible. I'm the guardian of the new Canadian NASS flag. This'll be the debut
of the 'Canadian Wingnuts.'........You'll see the flag on display, somewhere
where the action is. Don't know the set up at the track, so we'll play this
part 'by ear'.........
We're hoping to meet many NASSER's at Mosport. It's promising to be a great
event. We're going to set up camp somewhere near the infield, along with our
Ottawa Valley Triumph Club friends. Look for our maroon camper, sporting the
words' Spit happens' and the MK3 Spit. We should be easily visible.
Can't wait to get there.
Donn.......I know you're reading this. Hope the 'Frog' is spiffed and fired up
by now. The fans are getting worried and itchy over here. Eyyyyeehhhh' air in
the tires'.........I don't believe I'm hearing this..........

Re: Vintage Racing Festival, Mosport International Raceway
A few weeks ago we sent you an invitation to our Vintage Racing
Festival, June 27, 28, and 29, 2003. We also said we would be updating
you periodically as our plans developed. Plans are developing well and
we are pleased to announce more details on the Festival activities.
Spectator Tickets: The sale of all spectator tickets is handled directly
by Mosport. Details of the tickets prices may be found on Mosport's
website at: http://www.mosport.com/roadhome.htm. Basically the single
day prices are $15 for Friday, $20 for Saturday and Sunday. Weekend
Super Tickets are $25 if ordered by June 25, otherwise $30 at the gate.
All prices are in Canadian funds.
Poster Offer: For the weekend enthusiast, VARAC is offering a FREE Event
Poster with the purchase of an advance Weekend Super Ticket. This is a
full color poster and may be viewed on our website. All you have to do
is order your tickets from Mosport by June 25 and present a Poster
Coupon at the Registration Centre at the track to receive your poster.
The coupon is attached to this message and is also available from the
VARAC website. Any reasonable facsimile is acceptable.
Vintage Car Show: On Sunday there will be a Vintage Car Show, being
organized for VARAC by the Toronto Triumph Club. This show is open to
all cars constructed prior to 1980 (after all it is a Vintage
festival). There will be a Limited Edition dash plaque for the first
150 cars. Cars will be grouped by decade with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in
class trophies awarded based on spectator choice. VARAC has negotiated
a special price for qualifying cars on the Sunday, the car and all
occupants will be admitted to Mosport for a single $20 admission. There
is no additional entry fee for the car show.
Vintage Fly Past: On the Sunday, we will have a fly past of vintage
warplanes. This will be scheduled after lunch during the playing of the
national anthems before the Feature Races.
Competitors: The Entry Packages are now available from the VARAC website
at: http://www.varac.ca/Festival/fest_entry.html. Alternatively,
contact me and I would be pleased to mail you a package.
Remember to mark your calendars now and order your tickets. This
spectacular weekend of racing will celebrate the 24th running of the
VARAC Vintage Racing Festival -- three days of close racing, free access
to cars and drivers, and many other entertaining features including a
car show.
This year we are featuring the Triumph marque and hosting "The
International Triumph Challenge". We are expecting cars from all over
Canada, the United States and hopefully, the United Kingdom. If you
were fortunate to be able to attend the Triumph Reunion at Mid-Ohio last
season, you will understand why we are so excited at the prospect of
hosting these racers at our 2003 Festival.
VARAC would like to invite all the members of your club to attend our
event this coming June. The weekend will start for spectators on
Friday, June 27 and culminate with Feature Races on Sunday, June 29th.
The spectator Vintage Car Show will take place on Sunday.
