Since I have never owned a TR7 (or TR8), I can't say.  That said, I
installed Chevy Metric Studs on The car that runs the 15" Panasports (for
obvious reasons).

Is it true that the lug studs on the TR7 are larger diameter than on the
Spitfire but the bolt pattern is the same (thus the lug hole in the TR7
wheels are larger)?

This would infer that you need to be careful that the lugnuts, if simply
installing factory steel TR7 wheels on a Spitfire, are tightening on the
wheel and not on the axle flange, if you know what I mean. May need larger
acorn lugnuts.

I've never done this, only from what I've read .
