"Fire polishing" the edge of the side curtain plexiglass not only looks better
but will give you longer life. Age fracturing initiates at weak points, so if
the edges are not polished it will start there sooner. By the way if you use
Lexan fire polishing is almost impossible to do because the material has such
a narrow temperature range where it is liquid. You can still get a finished
look by sanding the edges and then using a cotton q-tip with Weld-On #3
Acrylic cement. The acrylic cement will not join Lexan but it will soften and
then re harden the edges much like fire polishing plexiglass. Apply the
cement in one stroke. This is a trick I picked up from the Lexan fabricators
in Las Vegas.
