I just ordered a Newtronic (was Piranha) electronic ignition (optical) from Moss
UK - only about $88. Of course there's shipping, but I was ordering some other
parts at the same time and the Newtronic doesn't weigh much. I bought one about
5 years ago as a gift for my brother. He has used it on his (6 cylinder)
Spitfire which is an everyday driver, and he swears by it. He has never had to
touch the timing since fitting it.
