    Hi Patton,

I was just reading one of your replies on the Virtual Vail Mailing List
and noticed you're also involved with Sprites/Midgets. I have a 64 Monza
Coupe and other toys. My wife is thinking about getting herself a
convertible sports car this summer. We've recently looked at an MGB. (I keep
telling her to get an EM Vair 'vert, but she says that's what I want!)

We're going to look at a 75 Midget tonite ($1,500) and was wondering if
you could provide any insight and precautions. The owner says there's minor
external rust and the top probably needs replacement. The car has over 100K
miles. We live in New England and of course rust is always the number one
problem. From what I've researched, the 75 Midget is the first year for the
large black bumpers and also uses the Spitfire 1500 engine.

I took a look at your Web sight (looks great!) and others on Midgets and
found some useful info on these cars. I have not been able to find a serial
number listing on the Web for these cars and was hoping you may know what
range it should be in for the 75 model year

BTW, I've had British cars in the past (55 Austin Champ, 68 Triumph
TR250 & 70 GT6+, 70 Midget) and am familiar with their typical electrical
problems, etc.

Thanks for your help. Enjoy your weekend.

    Regards,

    Fran Marchand
