Stole this from the Datsun Roadster list. This happened to my brother on
8/25/98.
His only crime seems to be that he was driving a small roadster near an
a****le in a
big truck. Truck was doing about 50 in the slow lane....little brother
was doing 70 in the fast lane.

In my option every one should have a roll bar and good seat belts. This
is the voice of experience talking. today I was driving my 67.5 1600
down the interstate in East Texas when I was ran off the road over
compensated and found my self doing about 60 sideways about 5 feet in
front of a peter built logo (a site I will remember for the rest of my
life). Truck driver missed me ended up hitting the ditch on the opposite
side of the road HARD!! flipped up in the air coming down on passenger
side windshield post car is a mess dents in the hood where the
carburetor came through every body panel is thrashed but I am not 10
stitches to my hard head and I'm up and running. Can't say yet what will
happen to my 1600. If anyone has a good body in need of good running
gear might sell mine or buy yours. but in any case get a roll bar !!!!!
I didn't intend to roll mine any more than you do but $#it happens..
thanks
