I'm trying to patch up the wiring in an 71 Midget (read: undo previous
owners handy work). I can't figure out what two wires are. If it makes
any difference to the wiring, this is an ex-US car.
The wires finish next to the windscreen wiper motor plug, but don't look
like they have anything to do with the wiper motor as it has all of it's
wires. The wires have been cut off so have no idea what sort of
plug/terminator whould have been attached.
One wire is green, and the other is green with a brown strip.
I've been looking at a wiring diagram and the only wires I can see
matching those colours are shown as belonging to the gearbox reverse
light switch, which is on the other side of the engine bay.
Can anyone shed some light on these two wires? Do they have a purpose?
