That is exactly what I did.
Some cars (Minis) use that flat spot for the brake servo connection.
Just drill, tap, and insert a suitable nipple for the PCV valve.
A little thought before threading the hole so you can screw in a common
plug and/or a nipple for a hose. (like a 1/4" pipe plug)
