Hi Crash,

the wiring colors are different on the XR700 than are on the Allison
unit.  They are as follows:

For Negative ground car,

Black to coil negative terminal

Red to coil positive terminal

Purple to ground

Cable to distributor will connect only one way with the connector
provided
