With the pedal to the floor, I can still open the throttle some by
pulling the cable with my finger. With the carbs at the idle stop, I've
pulled the cable back until the "pedal" arm is hitting the top of the
foot well, thus removing any slack. if I shorten it any more the carbs
will be off the idle screws.
