Everyone,

I came across ListQuest, a free service/search engine that creates a
searchable archive of any mailing list.
You can check it out at http://lq.corenetworks.com/

The way it works is that you go to the URL above, click on 'spridget list'
and can then enter a search phrase. I tried it with the Mini list and
entered "1380cc". I was impressed with the result. It returns a list of
emails that mention the search term and shows part of each message. You
can then read the whole message by clicking on it.
The display of the whole message is followed by a listing of all other
messages with the same subject line, i.e. the whole message thread.

I think we should have the Spridgets list listed with this service.
It would serve as an official and easy to use list archive and could also
be used as a FAQ.
It requires the OK from the list owner. The service then subscribes to the
list and saves each message. Old archives can also be included.

They take measures that keep spammers from taking our email addresses, but
extremely concerned list members can also have their posts excluded.

Are there any concerns about this?
If not, I will contact the list owner.
