Frank and the list,
I would really like to figure out why dot 5 and brake light switches just
don't
mix. Some folks have no problems and some have never ending switch problems.
I pose 3 questions to all those who have switched to silicone or those who
switched over
and were forced to switch back due to problems:

1. What brand/model switch are you using or did you use?

2. What brand of dot 5 are you using or did you use?

3. Have you had/did you have problems with the brake light switching failing?

Maybe we can nail it down to a brand of switch or fluid or a combination
thereof.
Doubt it's that simple but we might be able to see a pattern.

As for me (60 Sprite with original drums at the four corners):
1. I used a switch I ordered from Winner's Circle, forgot the brand I'll
check tonight.
2. I used Cartel Dot 5 silicone brake fluid.
3. I have not had a switch fail... yet. It has been about a year and a
month since I switched over.

Cheers,
Jim Rowan
