There are any number of springs available with different rates and lengths.
If you want to get a bit harder and a bit lower to improve the handling
consider springs in the low to mid 300 pounds with height ranging from
standard to the high 8" mark.

Mk4 springs are very slightly taller than the earlier springs, the poundage
(when brand new) is supposed to be the same.
