There is a product called Feather Fill which is a two part Polyester Soft Sand
Finish This product is used as a surface coat for Fiber Glass.  It provides a
soft sand finish which is similar to the Gel Coat normally applied to the
exterior surfaces.  After applying a good heavy coat of Feather Fill you can
Block sand the surface to a nice finish prior to your final paint.
