hi,

I've been using Castrol 20w - 50 in my Midget for so long because of the
tired condition of the old engine, that I never thought about using another
weight in my newly rebuilt engine until a friend asked me what weight oil I
was using. I had cases of 20W - 50 around so that's what I grabbed when I
was filling up the new engine.

What is the proper weight for breaking in a new engine? I'm in North
Carolina, the temp has been between 25 - 45 degrees lately. Should I be
using 10W - 30 or 10W - 40?

Thanks,

Robert
