The quickest way (your not going to like this)
Remove engine and trans, undo nut on the back of the cable, undo cable
stop at bonnet, pull cable through panel.
Note, this is the quickest way.
Option #2: try to undo the nut on the back of the cable inside the trans
tunnel with tranny inplace (a magic wand will greatly help here or maybe
a Genie, Leprechaun, telekenisis) This is much easier but not
neccessarily faster then pulling the tranny.
