Here's one for all the electronic types on the list.
Negative ground car.
Turn the key on and the gas gauge works. Start the engine and the gauge goes
to full and stays there until the engine is turned off.
If you pull the coil hot wire so the engine will not start and crank the
engine, the gauge moves to full while the starter is turning. As soon as you
stop cranking, the gauge goes back to where it should be.
