Very cute, Steve! As a Scout leader myself, it is good to see the derby
promoted anywhere it can.
Our district has a Venture Post (formerly Explorers) that builds hot rods, run
by a former drag racer. My SCCA region (Philly Region) was asked to bring
some cars out to a gathering of about 1000 Canadian and local Scouts this May.
Hopefully my Midget will be on the street by then.
As I said before, whenever we can promote the responsible enjoyment of cars to
kids, lets get out there.
