Lots and lots of people think that they will improve the handling of their
car if they fit wide wheels and tyres and they are wrong. Money spend on the
suspension will improve handling. Money spend on wide wheels and tyres just
increases grip which the average car cannot exploit either due to lack of
power or limitations on suspension. Also larger wheels and tyres increase
unsprung weight which is detrimental to ride comfort.
