Hello listers,
Just a small report from Gavnø Castle Autojumble. There was a very good
turn out on the MG side There was 150-200 MG´s and about 15 was spridgets.
It was the MGCC european event and there was a lot of people attending from
UK and other european countries. Beside the MG´s there was almost 1000
other cars. Ranging from old Fiat and Fords to Lamboghini and Ferrari´s.
My only regret for the week-end is that i had borrowed my mothers midget to
attend Gavnø Autojumble and on saturday I was supposed to attend a ralley
in conjunction with the autojumble. When I was picking up my co-pilot the
engine gave a clonck and was dead. It turned out to be a blown valveseat.
The small metal bits was embeded in the piston, the piston wall and god
knows where else.
An engine rebuild was not what I was looking forward to just as the sommer
is beginning.
