Poor Larry! Dented his Midget and broke the handbrake on his Artero.
He made up for it partially at the Allentown Fairgrounds on Sunday when he
entered the Allentown Sportsfest autocross. Philly Region SCCA put the event
on.
Larry brought his dented Midget up to Allentown, (losing a headlight trim
ring on the way!) and entered in Novice class with 18 others. Larry took the
7th place trophy! Congratulations! Funny to watch the tech inspector trying
to get the dented bonnet open. He finally just asked Larry if the battery
was secure.
A fun day, with beautiful weather. We had 41 entrants, including a Lotus
Europe and an Austin America. My son Eric took 1st place in Novice in his
Mitsubishi Eclipse. I told him his novice days are over.
Now that I think of it, the last time I was at the Allentown Fairgrounds was
to see the Cowsills in concert! Am I dating myself?
