First off, a million thanks for the dizzy help! I got the little beast
back on the road this afternoon, and she's better than ever! Now I have
to back the idle down from 1500 rpm. I swear I put it back the way it
was, as I had troubles when I replaced the condenser before, but I'm
just thrilled to death with the car now.
Anyway, I've been having intermittent trouble with my right headlight.
I also have driving lights in the factory(?) slots in the grill which
are powered by a relay coming off the wire for the highbeam on the left
light. How this all intermingles is this; when I pulled the vent hoses
remains to get at the dizzy when I was first refitting the car, I had
troubles with the headlights (due to not seeing the ground wire) and
they would go out from lack of ground. When they did that, the driving
lights would come on (low or high beam) because the relay gave a path to
ground. Since fixing the ground they were fine till recently. So now, my
right headlight is usually dim, and when it goes dim the driving lights
(powered from the left light {?!?}) stay on. The light has 12v to it and
zero ohm ground, and it's a new light (the left light is a Lucas!).
Sorry for the length and confusion, hope someone can understand this 8P.
