Before I owned my Land Cruiser... my sister sent it to the shop...
often... one time for a brake rebuild.. the truck came back with a big
stain on the right render and scratches all over both fenders... obviously
the mechanic was using the fender as a tool\part table and either spilled
some brake fuild on it (alot) or else placed the master brake cylinder on it
for temporary storage and it leaked into a pool. Well my dad went back to
the same shop to complain and they denied that they were responsible... we
couldnt prove anything so the stain remained... its still there to this
day... Its a reminder for me to work on the truck myself :P but I would go
and talk to the shop.
Maybe they wont help you at all... but at least they will know that some
of their mechanics maybe a bit careless and take steps to avoid the same
prob... (tool\part tables on wheels or fender aprons come to mind)

Good luck...
