On the Bugeye's 1 1/8" carbs, there is a rod that connects the throttle
shaft to the jet lever (thus slightly rotating the throttle shaft when the
choke cable is pulled). On ours that little rod has fallen out of its hole
in the jet lever and just dangles. The question is, where does it go in the
jet lever and what holds it in? There are two holes in the jet lever, one
each side of the pivot (and therefore putting the lever in each would result
in different motion of the throttle shaft). Can anyone with the original
carbs describe where this little shaft is supposed to go? Is there supposed
to be something to hold the rod in place or should it just be bent slightly
so it doesn't fall out?

Thanks,
Rich Hill
