Bob,

 I will try not to take that insult personally. In an attempt to
enlighten you, I would like to offer this information. People get
tattoos for various reasons. 
 Some get them to honor a deceased loved one, others as a show of
strength, some do it to cover ugly scars, some see it as a right of
passage, some appreciate the art form and others do it just because they
think it's cool. Very often the reasons are personal.

 Hell, some people do it just annoy small minded people;}
