Yeah, I kinda agree (sorry purists)...I thought that perhaps a chrome spear
ala the ZA Magnette coming up around the front of the wheel opening and
stretching back to join the original trim might look good.
And, where would one begin to search for a bug-eye nose?

Subject: That vintage Midget on eBay
I finally got around to checking out the Bugeye hooded Midget on eBay. I
think its rather attractive in its own way.
1. Remove the side trim.
2. Remove the front bumper.
3. Remove the footwell carpeting and replace with a $40 set of floormats.
4. Paint the wheels.
Result - A decent looking vehicle with less rust and better chrome than my
'74 Midget. If its in good shape under the hood, I'd bet its worth the
current bid price of $1525.
What do bugeye hoods go for these days?
Regards,
Charles
