Peter C. and I were having the same discussion over
beer at Wally's the other night. As Neil Young said
(approximately), "Analog is like being in a tub of
water that is exactly at your body temperature, you
are soothed, and engulfed. Digital is like a million
little ice pellets small enough to warm up to body
temperature on impact. The mind is tricked but the
heart is sad."
