french all aluminum bodied cars with horizontally opposed air cooled 2
cylinder engines of the early to mid 1950's vintage.

father endurance raced one in 1954 in gas economy runs along with driving
the "stovebolt special" 53 chevy coupe in nascar events in '54 also.

panhard engines were popular in 1950's h-modified sports racers since they
were(the then) class limit displacement of 750cc. along with crosley
engines, saab 2 stroke 3 cylinder's and dkw 3cyl 2 strokes. bmw motorcycle
motors were usedalso along with fiat multipla (sp.) i believe also. but fiat
was the major donor car for light weight brake and wheel assemblies for
those light weight specials. mine(saab powered) is ok but a bit heavy at
800lbs wet.
