when i bought my bugeye now 26 years ago it had a dash mounted inside rear
view mirror in it that i am not familiar with. it utilises the 2 original
mounting holes and has a post that is hinged at the bottom . where the
mirror brackets wich clamp to the top and bottom of the mirror glass come
together with 2 screws on a ball it is just like original bugeye mirror.
but! the ball is adjustable up and down on the verticle post. post and
mounting base are chrome, mirror brackets are wrinkle finished as is the
mirror's metal plate wich protects the front side and provides some rigidity
for the glass to protect it from it's fragile nature(thin glass). it apears
to have been from another brit. car from late 50's possibly earlier? i do
not know. what car had a folding i.s.r.v. mirror on the dash? currently
not mounted in my car but stashed away!
