bumble bee wires

have them on the sprite and the sports racer.  period correct for the
judging crowd on vintage race cars.  one problem though, both cars use the
lucas sport coil with the screw in retainer for the wire to the dist. cap,
and it apears that the coil is way too much for the wires to handle.  the
darn coil lead on both cars arc through the wire's shielding to nearest spot
to ground.  thought i had a bad wire initially and changed to a new wire
(bumble bee type) and same problem again.

possibly with a stock coil they do not arc.   but with the sport coil, they
look great but do not work well at all.   changed to a silicone type solid
core wire for racing and arcing stoped.

so period correct....?  yes!   period problems...?  yes!   modern materials
work  best....?  yes!
time marches on!
