I've been on the fringe for 4 months now. I'm back into these strange little
cars after an absence of 12 years. I'm helping my son restore 1976/1966
Spridget. My previous relationship was as a Racer of Spridgets for the
previous 15 years . The racing was particularly heavy duty, some would have
said it was at the addictive level.

Awwlrightie then...

Okay,
Here's a challenge.
How about if each member of the silent majority "offers up" a short bio of
yourselves including:
1) What you own or would like to own, [Terry Williams] Well, there's the
'77 Midget (my first - I've always had MGBs) purchased this past fall,
there's the red '68 MG roadster I restored m'self ground-up getting to be
some 10 years ago now. It has yet to turn over 10,000 miles since the
resto. And my long-time pal, a 1970 white MGB GT I've owned for well over
25 years, it's yet to turn 100,000. Maybe this summer. My first LBC was an
Austin Mini (1970), bought it brand new for $1849 (Canadian! Back when the
dollars were 1:1). It gave way to my first MG - a red '71, which led to a
'73 Vega! (Hey I was young, and REALLY stupid), then the GT. Since,
there've been more than a few cadavers dragged across the garage door!
2) Why you are interested in Spridgets, [Terry Williams] Actually bought
the Midget for my 17 year old to drive (No, really!) [Terry Williams]
With the collector's insurance I have on the other two MGs, he's not
eligable to drive 'em, so this summer, he'll graduate from high school,
drivin' a little green Midget! (I got to thinking that if my Dad had bought
me a 23 year old MG upon my high school graduation ('68), [Terry Williams]
 it'd have been a '45 TC!
3) You past experience(s) with Spridgets or Brit cars, [Terry Williams]
They are my non-professional/family life! Neighbours ask if my garage is
a shrine!
4) anything else. [Terry Williams] Not at this time. I did however manage
to wrestle the first new rear spring onto the Midget last night. Tonight -
victory with the driver's side!
