glen,
do not discount this system because of a single carb aplication.  the early
injected fieros and pontiac 6000's used a single injector that sprayed fuel
into the throttle body(where the throttle plate is).  i am willing to bet
that this type of injector would be easily adapted to the system design.
since the system will need to pulse the injector on an intake stroke it
already knows when to spray fuel.  all that would need to be known is does
the injectoion unit alternatly pulse the 2 injectors according to which
cylinder is on an intake stroke or pulse them both at the same time.  this
would tell which way the system would have to be modified to operate a
single injector.  i figure that the system as it exists using a diode as a
guard against feedback to the computer on the 2 hot leads to the
injector(bringing a hot lead from each of the 2 injectors together) so it
would read a pulse for either injector feed.  if the two injectors spray
atthe same time then you already can adaptthe system to a single carb.
