Hey- Don't forget "Gas Wars" (no Star Wars) and 100 octane LEADED, and
not giving a damn (cuz ya didn't know any better) about how much
cholesterol was in that giant greasy double cheeseburger! Opps- off the
subject of "environment", or... maybe not?

Larry

The world pretty much looked the same. There was more litter on the road
side and in the lakes and streams. Air polution was not as bad as it is
now but the feds blamed auto emissions not big business. Seat belts were
just becoming standard equipment, air bags were commonly known as
"significant others" and sat next to you, they did not explode out of
the steering wheel. There was no such thing as acid rain, colesterol,
viagra, or rogaine. Kids could ride in the back of a station wagon
without a seat belt or even in the front seat standing and jumping up
and down without worry of a uniform officer pulling over the driver.
7-9 people could ride in a Spridget.
Camaros, Mustangs, and Barricudas ruled the stop lights and they were
still made out of steel. Datsuns looked like MGs, Toyotas were funny
looking (some things never change) and Honda made motor scooters. VWs
were air cooled and the engines were in the back of the car. The only
things made in China were fire works and little basket weaved things
that locked your fingers together.
Coca Cola still tasted like coke not "new coke" and came in glass
containers.

These are some of the "environmental conditions at the time of test"
