I figured I'd better add that I did mix it according to directions the first
time, and it took a week to dry. I had to add more the second time, and it
hardened in the amount of time the directions said it should.

When working with fiberglass resin and hardener, it's best to mix the two
parts accurately according to the directions given on the resin container
since the proportions can vary depending on ambient temperature (as temp
goes up, the amount of hardener required decreases). If not enough
hardener is used, the mixture will remain tacky. If too much, the cured
product will be brittle and could be understrength, but for fiberglassing
holes in a car floor this doesn't matter. When curing, fiberglass
resin/hardener generates heat. Too much hardener causes too much heat and
could result in stress cracks.
