I've been moistly lurking or, better, passively observing, for the past few
years and have received both enjoyment and education from all of you. I
have met and hoisted a few with some of you as well as I travel around the
country.

I have been a Senior Consultant for the past 16 years with American
Software in Atlanta. I specialize in helping clients implement our
Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Incventory Control sosftware. I also manage
two departments of consultants who support the above products and our
financial application products. I have recently taken an assignment as a
Business Analyst for one of our major outsourcing clients because the
software isn't selling so we aren't implementing, and this new job doesn't
involve travel. That gives me more time to spend at home with my wife and
my cars. Before this job, I held positions as Material Manager,
Manufacturing Manager, and Plant Manager with a number of manufacturing
companies around Atlanta and on Long Island, my home. Before that I had a
job for two years with my Uncle Sam but the travel (Virginia, Texas, North
Carolina, Vietnam, Thailand) got to be too much.

My first sports car experience involved two $50 wrecked Bugeyes I bought in
1970 and made into one pretty rough autocross car. But it was lots of fun.
I then upgraded to a 1965 Sunbeam Alpine, but went back to a 1968 Sprite in
1975. I now have a 1972 Midget that I partially restored in 1988 and a 1967
Midget I built into a vintage race car in 1990. The race car and its
racing, maintenance, and enhancement requirements, unfortunately, has kept
me from finishing the engine, engine compartment, and front end restoration
on the ' 72 I started three years ago. I really miss having a driver. I
really do need to re-prioritize things and get it finished.

I have gotten probably a half dozen other Spridgeteers to join the List
because I am a strong believer in what goes on here. Keep u p the good work.
