books "the last open road" or "montezuma's ferrari" and reside near
northeastern pennsylvania you might be interested in going to snoop around
and see what it is that these crazy people do going like stink up hill for a
mile at a time. just returning from lime rock i'm too burned out to go
through the ritual trailer load and unload to go run the hill. i do like
running the giant, the grade at the top is a challenge as is devil's
elbow(an awsome near 180 degree climbing turn that is just one of the most
impossible turns to navigate at normal speed let alone as fast as you can).
any way i just thought i'd let evryone know what would be fun to do on a
beautifull sunday in pennsylvania.

I was there! Ran my 1970 TVR Vixen both days. Local TV stations showed some
video of several cars in action (including mine) on the Saturday evening
news. Probably showing more tonight.
Born in 1906, this event is a significant part of auto racing history. This
year, another chapter was written----a web cam at the starting line made it
possible for the world to watch at www.giantsdespair.com
A wide range of cars from showroom stock to special-built hillclimb cars made
up the field, 62 in all.
The spectators at Devil's Elbow, in customary fashion, were at least as
unforgiving as the hill itself.
