>>look at the voltage regulator.<<

the lights work just fine, the car just won't start unless i jump it, which
just isn't condusive to going anywhere!!! we have followed the "testing in
position to locate fault in charging circuit" portion of the workshop
manual to no avail. (unsure what exactly a yoke is) but the reading we get
is only .5 ohms, where it should be (i think) 6. haven't looked into
polarity yet, but i'll do that tomarrow.

Thanks for the help
Patricia

Hi Patricia,

Before tearing into the generator you might want to This is the device
that charges the battery, keeps the
voltage up high, etc. Also the generator might be the wrong polarity or
non polarized, it's an easy swap. Just a mater of touching a battery
post to the gen with a wire. It used to be a tech tip on puddlejumper's
web site. If you need some advice feel free to ask, but give us a
little more info on what she is doing. Lights won't work, won't turn
over, lights dim, etc.

Good luck

Rick

BTW I know the feeling on night shift, going back on nights tuesday,
ugh
