Hi list,

You really need an airline that flies direct (American Airlines - fly from
Chigago and Continental fly from New York)[Rob - can you fly us a
charter???](even with a via Dublin or whatever) to Birmingham International.
Heathrow and Gatwick (or even Manchester) are a good 2-3 hours from
Birmingham and the cost of travel by train or car & return will cost almost
as much if not more than your air fare. Whereas Birmingham International and
the Car Show (all indoor and BIG by the way) are connected by a free shuttle
bus + walkways.

Don't forget you might need travel insurance (drives the cost up) etc. Also
the Car show is quite near to the Heritage motor centre. Hotels, Bed &
Breakfast in the Birmingham area (like out of town) are not expensive (unlike
London). Last time people from the states dropped by I think they paid £24+
for bed and breakfast.
