1. Has/(had) a center main strap.

3. I don't have a clue why this failed in the first place, unless some dirt
or debris was picked up at high RPM... there was a 1/4 in diameter hole in
the bottom of the sump screen that could have allowed someting to get
sucked up. The  line bore on the crank jornals was still "on the money",
even with the slight overheating of the center main.

Only a couple (race) hours on this engine before it failed.

any ideas?
