Brad,

have you done the standard generator tests?
Unplug both wires from the gen, jumper the two connections at the gen
together and connect a voltmeter between ground and the jumpered
connections.  Run engine at low rpm, you should see 10-20V.
Also, with an Ohmmeter measure the resistance between the small terminal at
the gen (field windings) and ground.  Can't remember the right values, but
it's in the Bentley manual if you have it.  Otherwise I can look it up.
