Back in the early 70's I was on my way to work in the sprite on I-80 in a
snow storm. Came up on a NHP(Nevada Highway Patrol) following a old Chevy
with two tire chains draging on his rear axle at 30 mph. I drove by at 60
in the sprite and looked in my rear view mirror and the tropper was
fishtailing all over the road with his lights flashing trying to catch me.
When he finally got it in control and caught up to me I pulled off the road
and stopped in a safe place, except (you guessed it) my car was rear ended
by the passenger side of a Highway Patrol car in a full slide. After he
calmed down enough to talk and write, I got a ticket for unsafe speed, but
they did pay to fix my car. I just wish I had heard of whiplash back then.
        Crash
