Eddie,
Why not take it to a machine shop and have it fixed ? It would be a whole
lot cheaper than a new shock. Don't worry, they've seen broken easy-outs
before. I bought a pair of 289 Hi-Po heads from a guy that had 2 broken
drill bits and a broke easy-out in the exhaust port bolt holes last summer.
I have a friend that runs a speed/machine shop, he only laughs a little bit
at stupid human tricks like that.
                 Jim K.
BTW, left-handed drill bits are a wonderful thing to have for broken bolts.
