a reamer is a cutting edged tool.  some are adjustable and some are for
specific operations.  like one i have for harley wrist pin bushings is a
specific operation tool.  a emry paper type of operation tool would be for
polishing a non precision hole as it wil  not afford a precision finish on
the hole from 1 end to another .  most king pin bushings are reamed to a
hand fit by a machinist.  unless you posess a "factory" reamer that is
designed to do only (let's say) sprite king pin bushings.  then it would be
a one pass operation and it would already be the correct tolerance for a
"factory" fit ready for assembly.
