Couldn't get through to this site over the christmas period from the UK.
Seems lots of problems have been occurring recently.  Steve Deakin in the UK
is not getting mail from me and it gets returned as 'unknown name' in the
same way as John Black/Waterloo DTR was for a month.  I'm not the only one
who has had these problems with Waterloo or with Steve.  Maybe Bill Gates
has
gone into the car spares business?  If Minimania and Moss go off-line then
we know who to blame.  As for Waterloo DTR, the problem was just a
miscommunication and there is no further reason to doubt their existence.

I agree with the comments about how one careless comment can damage a
reputation.  My original request for a phone number was through desperation
as I have had no means of contacting someone who owed me money.  If they
SEEM to have disappeared, what else am I to do?  Sorry John if this caused
you trouble.  I am 4000miles away and have never met you, spoken to you or
met anyone who knows you.  I rely solely on trust and recommendations from
others.  Since the list has given a good report on you and your operation, I
will be satisfied with this and will wait to hear from you in your own time.

As for the 5-speed Ford conversion, I have fitted one myself.  They are more
frequently used in the UK as the donor box is a thousand times more common
than the Datsun and the spares are more plentiful than water.  There will
NEVER be a lack of spares in our lifetime.  The design
allows for a myriad of ratios and the Ford box is designed to cope with
150BHP with ease as it comes from such cars as the 3 litre V6 Sedan.  Its a
matter of choice.  The Datsun requires less work whilst the Ford is
infinitely stronger, more adaptable but does require a little cutting of the
transmission tunnel.  Either conversion is an improvement.  Take your pick!

So as to ensure I am not accused of favouritism, I should add that my
(confidential) survey of traders in the US gave "not a single complaint"
about Paul Asgriersons' (sp?) Morrisservice, so his Datsun conversion should
be looked at too.
