Poor ground? where do you ground the circuit on this newly painted Bugeye?

Subject: flashers

Hi,

Having been off the list for about a year, I feel bad jumping right in for
help, but HELP!

I took all of the lights, etc off my 60 Bugeye and painted it. Now after
putting the lights back on, the flashers are very slow and very weak.

1. The battery was dead but I have charged the battery (with a charger). The
engine cranks with no problem so the battery should not be an issue.
2. All of the other lights work fine.
3. The flashers seem to be faster and brighter (but still not normal) when
the
other lights are off. Is this a clue?

Could the flasher just happen to be going bad right now? When it fails are
there symptoms? I have found a test procedure for the lights that by passes
the flasher but have not performed it yet.

Thanks in advance for any replies

Scott Lewis
